Our Fees

We charge our services at $150 + GST per hour. This may occasionally vary depending on the nature of the work.

After discussing your project and understanding the requirements and your needs we will provide you with an estimate. We can discuss and vary the brief to ensure it meets your needs. We can then move to a Contract.

Services

Insurance Property Claim Resolution

Whether it is Christchurch Earthquake related or damage as the result of another natural disaster we can manage your claim from beginning to end or any difficulties you have with your insurer or NHC (EQC). In many cases we can get this assistance fully or partially funded by your insurer.  Both resolving insurance issues and building issues is our specialty.

Property Insurance Claim Management

Dealing with your insurer in the event of a claim can be frustrating and time consuming. We can act as your delegated advocate or claims manager.

 Building Feasibility Study

Understanding the pros and cons of either new builds or major renovations is difficult. We will prepare a feasibility study for you which looks at the upsides and downsides of your desired projects. We analyse your projects likely costs, risks and eventual value before you commit yourself to going ahead.

 Quantity Surveying and Pricing

From concept to finalised Building Contract we can provide your with up-to-date pricing as your project evolves. Helping you decide on scope and design of your project from the outset has a lot of value. Even if you have well developed plans and just want a check price, we can help you.

 Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Assessment Management

Engineering can be expensive but is necessary in most projects. The brief of engineers is critical in getting value for money. We work with engineers to negotiate a staged process which means that you only spend what you have to and not commit straight away to services which may not be necessary for your project.

Client- Side Project Management

If your project is ready to go, we can act as your project manager in dealing with contractors. This can be through planning, design and construction phases. This takes the pressure, time commitment and stress out of the project and has a team that can manage any downside risk you have.  The justification of having a Client-Side Project Manager are outlined on the Client Side PM page.

 Project Risk Assessment

Identifying and assessing the risks which any building project has needs to be done objectively. Using our knowledge and experience is available to you. Unless clear identification and analysis of such risks is undertaken, managing those risks throughout your project becomes difficult.

Building Contract Management

The majority of our clients do not have the knowledge or experience of Building Contracts. Signing up to conditions that can lead to difficulties is easy to do without someone looking over your shoulder. We can help you tailor the Building Contract and ensure that payment milestones fit with the availability of finance. We also can act as the Engineer to the Contract checking that work is completed for each milestone and that work is up to the right quality.

Financial Oversight of Projects

Often Banks and other financiers need the confidence of having experienced and professional oversight of projects they are financing. We can work on their behalf to give them confidence that the project is running smoothly and within accordance to their lending terms.

Building Project Planning and Oversight

Providing timelines for the benefits of all stakeholders is often required. Who does what, when is important to coordinate any project efficiently. We can work with you and your contractors to provide this for any project and then continue working with them throughout the build.

Getting the right professionals and contractors is critical to the smooth running of any project. We maintain working relationships with businesses that share the same values as us in customer delivery that can ensure your project meets your needs of timeliness, quality and value for money. We can help you find the right team.

Managing Tenders

Competitive tendering is a key part of building projects. We can manage whole or part of your tender process. We can prepare tender documents to go to prospective contractors. We can assist in the evaluation of tenders you receive and help you make the best choice.

Real Estate Services

We can provide either buyers, sellers or Agents with a deeper understanding of issues around the sale or purchase of properties. This may include engineering reports or building reports or Building Surveyor assistance. We can provide quick and accurate advice. We can assist with the sale or purchase of As Is properties.
